IA# 5: Reflections on The Monument’s Men

The first time i set my eyes on the screen I honestly thought that i would fall asleep, because i don’t normally watch movies like such. But after a few minutes i find my self captured with interest and pleasure. The movie made its message clear to all audiences. It reminded me of how art is the basis of our future. Our future generations will remember what we did in our time because of the antiques we left behind called art. Art maybe valuable, but is it worth a man’s life? For me, YES! art maybe a piece of stone, or wood, or plastic… but that art is our heritage. People made that art for our benefit and our heritage. So if your asking me if my life is worth the the peoples benefit... then yes, I would say yes everytime.

The movie was really good. The directing of George Clooney was impeccable. The acting was believable and touching. The script was on point and not disappointing.

If there were monuments men here in the Philippines before, we could’ve saved alot of valuable art. Art that could never be replaced. In my opinion, it would be a great idea to have monuments men in he Armed Forces because we are a country that ca easily be conquered and were gonna need a set of people to at least save our people’s past works and keep their dignity intact.
