Vinted: The Next Big Side Hustle
Times are hard at the moment for all of us and everyone is stressed with money worries. I am always thinking of ways to make an extra bit of cash to ease the bank balance. Stressing about money is unfortunately very common and can make you quite ill if you don’t manage it properly. Being able to make a little extra money on the side can help to ease those worries for you and selling on Vinted is a good place to start.
Vinted is a fantastic online platform for selling almost anything. You can sell preloved clothes, shoes, jewellery, accessories and now even homeware. If you are trying to make money from home and you’re choosing some good quality items for selling on Vinted then I can help.
But first if you are new to selling through Vinted then you may want to read my other post “ How does Vinted work? “.
Selling on Vinted
There is no magic trick to selling your items faster on Vinted. Like any other online sales platform, it takes a little bit of work to get it right.
If you already have a Vinted account follow these tips and you should be selling faster on Vinted than you were before.
Step 1: Regularly refresh your listing and keep it updated
- Update your photos in all your listings to ensure that your item is as visible as it can be and looks appealing.
- Change your title and description to make sure it is detailed and attracts attention. In your title put as much detail as you can to help Vinted members find your item as quickly as possible.
- List your item with a discount or include your item in a bundle with other items to encourage buyers to buy more items at once from you.
Step 2: Establish a profile that is trustworthy
- By verifying your account, you will build trust with other Vinted members.
- Fill in the ‘about you’ section in your profile and describe yourself and your style. All members can see this, and it allows them to know more about you which can start to build trust between you.
Step 3: Do all you can to get your items noticed
- Vinted offer a bump option for your items. It is a feature on Vinted that improves the visibility of your item. When you click on the bump option your item is shown to more members on their news feed and in their catalogue search results. The listing is displayed once a day for three days or until it sells.
- The wardrobe spotlight option is also another good way to improve the visibility of your items. Wardrobe spotlight is also a paid option in Vinted. What wardrobe spotlight does is for seven days it will list five items from your wardrobe. This will show in members news feed and catalogue search results.
- Keep uploading items on a regular basis if you have them. This encourages buyers to follow you and then they will get notified every time you upload another item.
- Try reducing the price if an item has been hanging around for a while. This will mean that members who follow you or people who have favourited your item will be notified of this discount.
- If people do favourite your item send them a message to start a conversation and try making an offer.
Step 4: Offer alternative shipping options.
- You may find you attract more buyers by doing this. They will have more delivery choices and can choose the most convenient one for them.
Follow all these steps and you should see your results from selling on Vinted boosted in no time.
