Day Two: April 5, 2015

It is about 9 o’clock in the morning and the first thing I see when I walk upstairs are plates of donuts. A variety of donuts. Glazed, cream filled, jam filled, jalapeño and bacon, and so many more. Then we all got into the car and we were off to go sightseeing.

First we went to a place called Blue Bottle; it’s this coffee shop which according to Uncle Titi is amazingly good, definitely better than Starbucks. The coffee barista managed to answer every question uncle titi had and so uncle titi wrote a fabulous review on yelp I think. Go Blue Bottle!

After everyone got their coffee, we drove to this French bakery and a pho restaurant called Pho 2000 and obviously got some pho. It seems like the places we go to are just full of people. Like way too many people.

Once our tummies were full, we dropped the pastries off at Uncle Titi’s friend’s house and set off to Fisherman’s Wharf. And if the previous places were busy, this was just a surplus of people coming from all different directions. We saw Alcatraz island from a distance since we couldn’t book tickets in time. There was this sour dough shop where they made different shaped breads.

We also went to Ghirardelli square and boy did they give out a lot of free samples. There was chocolate practically everywhere; it was a bit overwhelming.

Finally we walked up this incredibly steep incline to Lombard Street. Apparently one side has 249 steps and the other side has 252 steps I believe. Not really an even number honestly. The climb up to the top was exhausting but once we got to the top, it was beautiful. The walk back down wasn’t so bad either. And then we went back to Uncle Titi’s friend’s house and had Easter dinner. Surprisingly, it was a three course meal. I haven’t had one of those in awhile.

Anyways, it’s time to log out now. Adios! Peace out !!!
