An expensive issue

Let’s start with a $700 billion problem — network interruptions. According to IHS study, that’s how much these outages have cost North American companies in the year of 2016. While the costs to fix these problems are low, the productivity and revenue loss makes up for 95% of the cost pie.

Such crashes between data centers occur because of hardware malfunctions; configuration mistakes or even hacker attacks such as DDoS, BGP hijacking, etc. The frequency of these problems is tied to the choice of your service supplier. Some of them are more reliable than others. Yet, one tendency is clear — Cloud systems are usually more trustworthy — the problems don’t occur as often but in rare cases, it still happens.

Syntropy — a bridge of connection when you need it the most

During such cases, Syntropy backbone becomes most valuable for its clients and partners. It immediately re-routes traffic onto other paths that are undisturbed. Syntropy builds an alternate bridge of reliable connection when the usual ones are lost or having any type of issues that prohibit efficient service.

Teaming up to attain the best quality service possible

We’re excited to announce that we’re starting our work with Cherry Servers. This partnership is a valuable opportunity to prove the workability of Syntropy backbone.

Cherry Servers is an international Bare Metal Cloud services provider with its headquarters in Lithuania. Bare metal server is a single physical computer dedicated to a customer. And that’s what makes Cherry Servers stand out — multiple customers don’t need to share the same machine and each tenant can run their high-end workloads in a stable and predictable manner.

Cherry Servers are preferred by DevOps because of private cloud infrastructures with hardware-level control for high-performance applications. It’s worth mentioning that Cherry Servers operate with the SLA (Service Level Agreement) uptime of 99,97%. The numbers are truly impressive but Syntropy backbone will do everything in its power to increase this number even further.

Our main partnership responsibilities will include connecting all the data centers of Cherry Servers. Actually, it’s the first time that Syntropy will connect entire data centers instead of just single servers. The upcoming amounts of traffic will be our most inspiring challenge yet. Connecting Cherry Servers data centers through Syntropy backbone will improve the quality of their services, especially for clients that have their Bare Metal machines in several data centers across Europe.

Once again, working with Cherry Servers is an important step forward. The use case that we are about to build during our work with Cherry Servers will help us grow with even greater momentum. The ability to demonstrate transparent real-life data to our community is a priority.
