You are being asked to participate in a research study called “The Online Mindfulness Study” conducted by Rachel Diamond, a clinical psychology doctoral candidate at Long Island University, Brooklyn. The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of an online mindfulness program, fostering your health and wellness.
Over the course of 3 weeks, you will have the opportunity to learn about a variety of meditation techniques, as well as how to weave them into your everyday life — no matter how busy you are. You will be provided specific exercises to practice meditation on a daily basis, on your own time and at your convenience. For your participation, you will also have the chance to win a $100 Amazon gift card.
This is an introductory meditation course, however, people with all levels of experience with meditation are welcome (please review other eligibility criteria below). The program is designed for busy people and the time commitment will be minimal: we estimate about 15 minutes per day for meditation, and an extra hour per week for other related activities. You will also be asked to fill out various online questionnaires before and after the mindfulness program.
The mindfulness course will be delivered via a secure online learning platform, Dream See Do (DSD).

Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years of age, English speaking, living in the United States or Canada, and have access to the internet.
Duration: 3 weeks (21-day course)
