It’s all about the experience. A product, either be seen as good or great. They all have their own abilities to solve problems and contribute their own values to our life. The most distinct difference between them is about the experience.

We use products to solve our problems. Good products are functional and reliable. We use them, forget about them, and recall when they are needed. Great products are functional, reliable, and enjoyable. We are more likely to remember a great product even when they are not needed. Because the amusement about it will create a satisfying experience that we will hardly forget.

What is a digital product that you can’t live without?

WeChat is the app I’m addicted to. It is the largest messaging app in China with over 900 million users. It is the most common use app in China with more than half of the users open it ten times a day. People use it to pay for grocery shopping, taxi, food deliveries, haircut and so on. It’s a super app with a wide range of functions combined. With such disparate functions, it still remains clean, fast, and stable.

Among all its functions, I think online payment is the most innovative and has revolutionized people’s lifestyle in China. WeChat users are able to pay for any merchandise and services just by showing their QR code on their mobile devices which can be scanned by stores and pay from their linked bank accounts or credit cards with no extra fee added.

It is also a effective platform for corporations who wants to promote their brands and services. Authorized people or organizations can start their own public account to publish their articles. The public account has the ability to post their daily updates with the form of a blog post which includes pictures or videos directly to their subscribers.

I found myself open it right after I wake up to check new messages. And I also like to read new feeds from public account during breaks or before go to bed. I would recommend anyone who hasn't use WeChat before to try it out to find the magic of it.
