Missions: The Last Call

Mission Control is evolving, and you’ve probably noticed the addition of Voting from the Miners Union in our new Mission Control UI. This means for voting you no longer need to use the old Miners Union website, which we will shut down by August 31st. From now on, we’ll refer to all features as Mission Control, letting go of the term Miners Union.

Missions were initially designed to address the issue of miners not being able to earn a decent amount of TLM in Alien Worlds. However, the introduction of rarity pools by Alien Worlds successfully resolved this problem. As a result we have seen less and less missions being added by the Syndicates in the past weeks and months. For this reason, missions will be discontinued in their current form.

Syndicates interested in launching one last mission have the opportunity to do so until August 17th. To initiate a mission, a minimum of 1,000 TLM should be sent to hq.mu with the memo “tlmdrop”. No more missions can be started after this date.

For all players, this means that spacecrafts will lose their utility on August 31st. Please make sure to spend your spacecrafts on these last missions!

And although the current type of missions will no longer exist, we have exciting features planned that we believe will be more enjoyable and engaging. Where we are going, we don’t need spacecrafts!

At the end of August, we will also increase the application fee for Mission Control from 10 to 25 TLM.

Thank you all for your continued support and happy adventures in the Alien Worlds Metaverse!
