White Privilege and the Rise of Uber and Lyft

It would help if taxis reliably picked up brown passengers or passengers who live in the Avenues. As a member of both demographics, it’s nice actually being able to get home after the buses stop running regularly.

While I want the Lyft and Uber drivers to get paid a living wage (and for that reason I use Lyft in particular and make sure I tip), I also want to get home safely. Cabs don’t make that happen.
