Ms Johnson, while I understand and agree with your frustration, I have a problem with your conclusion. “DemExit” — leave the party and mock them — conveniently allows you to stay home, write opinion pieces, and not fix anything. We have a white supremacist sympathizer in the WH and your recommendation is to do nothing; let it get worse to spite the Dems. White privilege much? Righteous indignation will not fix this mess.
You know what WILL work to fix the party? Thousands of progressive people JOINING it. Millennials with new ideas. Gen Xers who are fed up too, but want to actually fix the party. The party is the people who are in it. I joined the Dem party in January, the only way to change it is from within. Since then, I have met many wonderful new activists, new people running for office. New volunteers. This is the future of the party. If you want your voice to matter, you need to do the work.
