We’ve learned a lot since launch and now its time to reflect the knowledge we’ve accumulated into our model and product.

In a few days, we’ll be rolling out an update that will change FLINT’s utility to an “ACCESS TOKEN” for the hundreds of traders on the platform. This means if you’d like to receive signals from the traders on MintFlint, you’ll have to maintain a minimum balance of 100 FLINT tokens in your wallet.

Let’s say you’re a new user, you download mintflint. You can subscribe to 3 traders who are free. But if you want to subscribe to more free traders, you will have to unlock the rest of the platform by holding 100 FLINT (Minimum Access Amount) of Flint tokens. Your balance of Flint tokens should be greater than 100 if you want to subscribe to more than 3 free traders.

This won’t create friction for onboarding users as they can still subscribe to 3 traders without having a FLINT balance.
