We are pleased to announce that the NEAR Foundation has awarded Mintickt a grant to develop the first version of the NFT ticketing platform.
What is Mintickt?
Mintickt is a Ticketing platform that allows event organizers to sell their tickets as NFTs on the NEAR Blockchain.
Currently, Mintickt is in a private-beta phase where events can be created manually by the Mintickt team. NEAR users can then log into Mintickt with their NEAR wallet and purchase these tickets. The grant will help Mintickt continue to innovate in the NEAR ecosystem.

Promoters
Say goodbye to fake tickets and scams and say hello to fewer costs and gain control over the secondary market by earning royalties on secondary sales.
Attendees
Collecting tickets never made as much sense as it does now, now thanks to NFT technology you can prove you really attended an event, earn rewards (did someone say airdrops?), or even connect with your favorite artist in private Discord channels.
Digital artists
In the last few years, the digital artist’s community has given the NFT world a shake-up with hundreds of PFP projects. Why not design event ticket templates? You will make money every time a template designed by you is sold. You may even be hired to design a custom ticket.
Next steps
In the next milestones, organizers will be able to create events on their own. Further, a standalone Android and iOS app are in the works that will allow NEAR users to search for events and buy tickets directly in the app, as well as manage NFTs.
