There’s many people who do unpaid internships in their twenties. It’s pretty common actually, and unlike most of us, you have the freedom to explore your interests from debt!

To sympathize with your point, one time I was asked in an interview what experience I had abroad. I didn’t get the job because the person who did had “volunteer experience abroad.” If tat’s not a clear sign of wealth and privilege, I don’t know what is!

Honestly, I think people tend to hire people who are just like them. I think your hard work ethic will pay off — you just got to find the interview who gets you!
