I have experienced the same thing. I’ve owned Sony full frame, Canon DSLR, Hasselblad, Mamiya 7, and various 35mm film cameras. In the past few months, I’ve been using the Ricoh GRII, and the image quality still impresses me. Right now it’s my only digital camera, so I’ve been looking at getting a full frame camera. But when I look at my images from the Ricoh and see the compact form factor, I realize I don’t need another camera.
When I was researching on the Ricoh, people seem to buy it for street photography. I assumed that was the only way to shoot it. Now I use it for landscape, architecture and casual family photos. It’s been pretty awesome!
