It hurts me.

It hurts me,
to see people choosing dairy,
ignorant that they are choosing slavery.

It hurts me,
to witness apathy
of what it means to be free,
from exploitation, suffering, pain, and agony.

Our compassion and empathy,
helped create plant-based milk and dairy-free cheese,
they aren’t like dairy, but are just as tasty.

Our strength in solidarity,
helped legalize same-sex marriage and promote equality,
we have come a long way since the 20th century.

But yet.

It hurts me,
to know that every time you buy grocery,
you choose not to be cruelty-free.

It hurts me,
to still witness racism and misogyny,
why can’t we all live in harmony?

Humans and animals are not commodity,
our life and dignity,
cannot be valued by simple currency.

This isn’t just about me,
it is about us living consciously,
making responsible decisions and giving back to the community.

If you think it is difficult for you,
imagine what they have to go through,
they have feelings and matter just like you do.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
