NFT venture studio, Zombstein Country Club, has arrived.
Zombstein Country Club, or ZCC as we will refer to it in this article, is a community built on collective dreams for DeFi innovation. That is the main force that brings the community together and drives our progress: DeFi. Randy Torres, founder of UX Hype, an app development and media agency in LA, created ZCC with the plan to turn an NFT project into a venture studio. Before creating his own agency, he worked on blockchain software development at companies like Block.one and AIKON. Now, he plans to change the core focus of his agency into a blockchain venture studio. Venture studios typically help individuals develop their ideas or accelerate their startups by sourcing talent, providing strategic direction, and contributing funding. Zombstein Country Club will become a part of that venture studio, utilizing the community for voting on project proposals, finding talent within the community, and the money raised to fund projects.
We’re looking at every industry with a fresh lens and questioning the status quo, technology is moving faster than industries, corporations and governments can keep up. We’re focused on the latest technologies and asking ourselves what’s possible now that wasn’t possible 5 or 10 years ago,” Randy said.
Community members will eventually own a stake of the venture studio, through an ERC-20 token that will be airdropped to NFT holders in 2022. The tokens will remain limited in supply; individuals can either buy the NFT, buy the token directly later, or participate in user-beta project testing to earn rewards.
The value of the token will increase as projects reach success, a percentage of each project will belong to the token owners. When a company progresses through the incubation phase and reaches self-sustaining maturity, the studio and token holders will continue to own a percentage of equity. Thus, it allows individuals of any net worth and background to invest in seed-stage companies and contribute to their growth trajectory directly through progress updates, recommendations, and talent referrals. While on a day-to-day basis the projects will be built by the teams, regular updates will be given to the community to allow for collaborative problem solving when necessary, or recommendations for future features.
Due to interest in the projects, and our goal for experts within entrepreneurship, development, and creative fields to be a part of the community, job postings and opportunities will become available to ZCC holders first before becoming available to the general public.
In addition to the venture studio’s projects, we’ll encourage the community to assist and collaborate on all ZCC holder projects. Universal collaboration is encouraged; Randy’s “ultimate goal with this project is to build a community of people who want to move the world forward and help shape the future”.
