What We Worry About When We’re No Longer Broke
Nicole Dieker

I’ve got a pretty crazy one! I worry fairly regularly that my eventual future children will grow up too comfortable and I won’t be able to relate to them, or even like them. This, of course, assumes that I will 1) have children, and 2) ever get to a financial point where those children will be able to grow up “too comfortable.” Which is pretty funny, because I am STILL totally broke. Apparently some part of me still thinks, against all evidence, that that tenure-track job that will vault me into the middle class exists?
