Dear Tim, I love that your are using your time to descramble this utter nonsense of a “documentary”! I’m slowly getting through your arguments and the studies you use.
I think that the William C. Robert MD that wrote the study you are mentioning is not a good idea to use, as he advocates the same wicked vegetarian idea that the movie you are reviewing — and he thinks the humans are mostly herbivores — and he promotes use of statins against atherosclerosis — following the cholesterol myth, born by cherrypicking and scientific fraud of Ancel Keys study. Many millions of patients with atherosclerosis fell victims of it since 70'ies where it became predominant.
Yes, I believe that saying “When you eat animal products you start to form plaques in the coronary arteries” is absurd… and I myself as an educator use essential ketogenic regimen which is basically carnivore to help people with aggressive brain tumors… BUT, maybe you need to choose another path for the argumentation here… or at least supply it with an extra quote…
There is plenty of evidence for the failure of the cholesterol myth in relation to atherosclerosis. For example, the population of northern India consumes 17 times more animal fat than the population of southern India. However, the frequency of atherosclerosis of myocardial arteries in northerners is 7 times lower: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2825638/.
With big respect for you work ❤
