The Wire

My social insight into the tv series

I’m not saying that this show is one of the greatest tv series’ that has ever been made, but i think that it’s such a shame that it didn’t get such critical acclaim as shows like breaking bad or Game of thrones.

This is one of those instances where people don’t know what kind of good thing they have until they lose it. The show was on during a time where there was congestion of television coming out, crowding out this gem of a tv series. I know that i’m not the only person that has seen this show, but it seems like i’m the only person has heard of the show—let alone watch it. This makes me sad because i can’t talk about how the Barksdales were robbed by Omar or how Marlo Stanfeild is the biggest piece of shit on the planet, but what makes me even more sad is the fact that all of the death involved in the show depicts the way people actually live on the street!

There are people that die every single day on the streets of the inner cities of america. There are people dying in the streets of america because of the way society casted these people into the lowest part that lives off of the scraps that they can take. Anyway, i’m sure people know this, but i think it’s good to think about every once in while because this past holiday season made me understand the appreciation of family and friends—they’re the most influntial and helpful people on the planet for anyone.
