My winding road from security guard to back-end developer
Jose Manuel Gallego

Your article is very inspirational, thank you. I’ve always been fascinated by computers and everything related. I did not pursue a college education in IT (I still don’t know why), however, I have a good job in Supply Chain, but I guess it always stuck with me not being more related to Technology. Suddenly I find myself eager for learning to code and, by chance, I won an entrance to Campus Party Mexico last week. I loved the experience of being surrounded by the future and seeing how developers communities come together to provide solutions to current social problems.

I learned about freeCodeCamp and I’m making it my goal to finish the courses so that I can help the non-profits. I believe this will help give my life a sense of purpose.
