Importance of yoga and movement in the classroom!
My preschoolers love doing yoga each day. It might be the yoga pose of the week, telling a story with yoga poses or playing fun yoga games like Toe-ga!
Yoga for kids can help with their focus and balance. Especially at a young age their minds are creative and their imagination is full that yoga can help guide them to explore their imagination and creativity deeper. For older kids I find that yoga would benefit them too. Before and after a big test have the classroom do some deep breathing. Some many kids have anxiety over test taking. Yoga would be a great tool to use during this difficult times in the classroom.
