An Open Letter To My CEO

I came upon this today and have to say as a business owner, this is the reason 90% of business owners that have no tech needs, cringe at the thought of hiring a millennial. I'm sorry you are down on your luck but you took the job. Did you investigate the cost of living in SF? Because 99.9% of the country know how expensive everything in Cali is.

What I do wonder is, when will your age group wake up and realize that nothing is handed to you on a silver platter. You are 17 and started an entry level job. I wish I made 1400 a month when I was 17. Ha, I made far less than that. And the insane thing is, WE DIDN’T EVEN HAVE THE INTERNET. Your generation has wealth handed to you on a silver platter. You have the ability at 17 years old to be a millionaire within a year. You have no clue on what hard is. Hard is when you work all of your life then having your entire retirement stripped away. Like my father did. So suck it up cupcake, get a roommate, ride a metro or get a bike. Get a second job or spend that extra time marketing your freelance. The day when you are on 2 hours of sleep every night, have zero life, never see your friends and stop your entire life to better yourself, is the day that you will understand what success means.

Welcome to America. Where in there Republic you are not entitled to anything other than simple freedom. The day you realize the meaning of freedom, is the day you are free.
