Good Men, What Are You Doing About the Harvey Weinstein in Your Life?
Mirah Curzer

Both articles are full of stories of women who never reported Weinstein’s abuse out of fear of retaliation.
We know why women usually don’t report men like Weinstein to the police, and we know what happens to them when they do.
The real question is, why don’t men take action when they know what other men are doing? And why don’t institutions take action?

So fear of retaliation keeps women from taking these men down, but somehow other men are supposed to risk the same retaliation? Why don’t men take action? Because Equality is taking the good and the bad. IF Men will defend themselves at work, women can defend themselves too. Remember “anything you can do, I can do better.” Here is the memo someone missed. Chivalry is benevolent sexism and women are strong enough to stick up for themselves, thank you very much.

I have been on the receiving end of sexual harassment (genital fondling) from a female boss. I knew it was harassment but I didn’t ask someone else (woman, man, or even supervisors) to handle it for me, I handled it myself. And if I couldn’t get justice, I would have filed and prosecuted.
