Keys Go Harder
“Strong is fighting. It’s hard and it’s painful and it’s every day. It’s what we have to do, and we can do it together.” — Buffy Summers
Meditation: Everything Changes, six minutes (morning)
You watch people who don’t look like nor represent the country you believe you live in celebrate being terrible. The sound is off on the tv screen but the grins are sinister and familiar. They sicken.
You engulf too much air and tension builds uncomfortably in your center. It will last for hours.
You’re anxious about the world but you don’t feel alone.
A friend is your local Indivisible hero. She posts “Actions of the day” and you’ve been doing them with increasing frequency.
Your Senator sends an email titled: “No despair… we have to fight.”
Your chosen family is riled up, angry, resolute, and active.
It’s a new day and there are clouds overhead.
They move. They change.
If your will is strong enough, you can make them move and change.
