Doc. Part 1: The Cali Crew

In choosing my topic for my first documentary, I’ve decided to showcase one of my dearest loves: the family I’ve become a part of at TripAdvisor’s #2 restaurant in Athens, GA, Cali N Tito’s. I have been so lucky to work with and befriend so many wonderful human beings for over a year now. So rather than focusing on the unique food we serve at Cali N Tito’s, I will be introducing you to the unique people doing the serving.

Why do I want to do this? Honestly, I would truly love for everyone who visits Cali N Tito’s to not only know they will be purchasing amazing food, but to also know that there are wonderful, behind-the-scenes people making that food happen.

What will this documentary entail exactly? It’ll be our story: the Cali crew yawning at the start and end of the day, laughing over all kinds of nonsense, arguing because no one wants to listen to 80s music (except H1 and me), working frantically together to solve the missing ticket crisis, talking about how hungry we are every 20 minutes, singing at the top of our lungs to our favorite Latin jams, perhaps even falling in love, all the while wondering why so many people are crazy about our pink sauce — and so much more.

I can’t wait to introduce you to the people I get to see every week (sometimes every day).

Squeezing the chicken lets servers know when the food is ready. I found this one hungry.
One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
