Goals: February edition

In hopes of building on progress from January (alternately, trying not to fail as hard as I did last month)

Professional:

Spend at least two hours reviewing Google AdWords study materials

Post 4x on Medium + some other fairly ambitious writing goals

Pitch 4 posts/articles to established writing outlets or blogs

Attend three professional development conferences or webinars (these are already scheduled for Feb. 9, 15 and 16)

Personal/Health/Self-care:

Read 2 books

Walk 8,000 steps every day + 10,000 steps at least five days

Lift weights twice weekly (8x total for the month)

Drink 60 oz. of water every day

Take my lunch to work every day

Volunteer at the Humane Society twice (I actually did this once in January, and it was so good for me)

Take at least one hike at our local nature preserve

Household:

Clean at least 15 minutes daily

Family:

Go on at least one date night without the kids

Put my phone away in the evenings before the boys are in bed (between 5–7:30)

Read to or play with the boys nightly before bed

Visit the zoo once

Visit the local children’s science center once

Financial (new for February!):

Since freelance work has picked up a bit for Bobby, February is looking a little brighter financially, so I’m adding these very small financial goals for the month.

Get caught up on EVERYTHING (we aren’t super far behind on anything, thankfully, but we need to get back on the right schedule with a few things)

End the month with some money in our savings account, no matter how small (working toward saving a $1,000 emergency fund)
