Back In Action

After a complete mental breakthrough, I have decided to stick with my project wholeheartedly and simply change the direction and angle I tackle this project from. With the assistance of my teacher, Don Wettrick, I came to the conclusion that I should look into other schools and cities to start making connections with, before I talk to anyone back home. At the very least I would be getting feedback from more people about their interest level. It’s kind of like deciding which parent to ask to go to a party, where Noblesville, my city, is the serious dad and any other possible candidates are the sweet mom. To start digging into who is interested, I've decided to start by asking some schools in China if they would like to collaborate with students from my school. The schools I am looking at had principals visit my school last spring. The principals were interested in our elective program and were really looking forward to future connection with my school. Another student, Danny Cecere, and I made contact with Jessica Yu the president of Chinese Education Connection Inc. Her company established the schools from which the Chinese principals came. She was in love with the idea of connecting some of her schools and my school and was thrilled when I presented the idea of Danny and myself coming out for a visit to collaborate with her students. Needless to say, a huge turn around this week. A gigantic thank you to Don Wettrick for giving me the kick-in-the-ass that I needed. He saw the potential in me and my project that I couldn't.
