Since the term hashtag was first used in 2007 to categorize topics on the Internet, it became a common word in our language. Not just digital marketers, but all of us use it on a daily basis.

As a social media marketer, I spend hours researching hashtags, tracking their performance, and looking at which hashtags brought traffic to my posts and ultimately my page. You can imagine that by now I have a library of hashtags for different topics and locations.
