Shortcode Maker Version 2.0 Released for Wordpress

It’s a common scenario in wordpress that, you need to generate a specific content, images etc over and over again. Here comes the necessity of the term, shortcode. Using it, you can render content as much as you need. Additionally, you can pass argument through a shortcode and depending on those parameter you can control the how and content should be rendered.

Well, this is the short intro for shortcode in wordpress. Feeling the necessity, wordpress itself, has introduced some shortcodes as built in ones while many other theme and plugin developers provide many other shortcodes in their products as well. But the fact is, in this case an user has the ability to use these built in and provided shortcodes only. And the content renders exactly how they are defined in those shortcodes.

But what if the case is that, an user wants a content to be rendered in some way for which he does not find any shortcode ? There is felt the necessity to make shortcode of their own. And that is exactly what the plugin , Shortcode Maker lets you do.

With Shortcode Maker, you can make shortcode of your own , providing the name for the shortcode, and the content in the editor. Save it, and the shortcode is ready to use.

You will find the shortcodes listed in shortcodes panel.

Now, if an user wants to create a post of any post type, he will find those shortcodes that he created in listed in the toolbar of wp editor .

In version 1.0 , he had to chose them from a dropdown/select box which is a little bit bothersome, since the list gets larger when created shortcodes are too many.

In version 2.0, select box is replaced by a modal box which will appear from a button a click provided for shortcode.
