Growing up, we’d make anywhere in the world our playground. A small neighborhood park, a shrine on the outskirts of town, a riverbed… There were a star-studded number of attractions that tickled our curiosity within a few kilometers radius of our home. It’s only when we visit them again as an adult that we realize the dangers. Corroded playground equipment in a park, a forest behind an unpopular precinct, a river whose bed suddenly becomes deep… Perhaps we’re so absorbed in playing that we unknowingly avoid these dangers… Little heroes have the courage that rivals adults! This game “LITTLE NIGHTMARES” is an escape adventure horror of a little girl. Let me give you a brief synopsis of the game.
A little girl, Six, is trapped on the mysterious giant ship “Stomach (Mou)”. However, this is also her playground. There is an observer gnome here. Will she be able to escape safely from here under the gnome’s watchful eye?
The game system is advertised as a puzzle platform, and the action-packed puzzle-solving and carefully calculated theory are impressive. The style of escape games in which players just run away from enemies has become mainstream, but you can also fight back with items. (I like this one better cuz it’s more realistic.)
As you can see from the teaser PV, the image quality is quite high! The dark and mysterious world presentation enhances the immersion in the game. I particularly noted the scenario, which has a strangeness that is different from the typical dark fantasy. It feels like Hemingway’s The Old Man and the Sea reborn as horror. And along with the nostalgic atmosphere, it isn’t only scary, but also creates a fantastic worldview. It’s one of the most interesting games.
