Title: Night of Sacrifice (イケニエノヨル)

Genre: Horror Adventure

Compatible Hardware: Nintendo Wii

Publisher & Release Date: Marvelous 2011.3

human sacrifice, or sacrifice, had an important role in Shinto rituals. In the face of unknown forces that have no scientific explanation, people look for reasons, even if there is no valid effect. This is the moment when superstition turns into faith. Whether this is right or wrong, this sad history still leaves its mark, and it’s scattered throughout the country as folklore. Have these customs disappeared in modern times? If they are taking place… The game “Night of Sacrifice (イケニエノヨル)” is, as the name suggests, a story about sacrificial lore. Here is a brief synopsis of the game.

The legend of sacrifice remains in Tsukuyomi Valley, and there was a mansion there that had been turned into ruins. A group of five college students visited there and disappeared. You visit this place to investigate the case, but it turns out to be a lair of a strangeness called “Ikenie” …

This is a game in which the player uses the remote control as a flashlight to explore the ruins of a house. The game system, which takes advantage of the Nintendo Wii’s hardware characteristics, is very interesting and allows you to enjoy the entertainment that is unique to this hardware. (The Wii is a great piece of hardware and has many masterpieces! The masterpiece Zero(零) is one of them. I’ll post a link at the end to the article that featured this one, so if you like it, read on) The story follows the events that occurred to the college students one by one as they reminisce about their experiences to get to the bottom of what happened. The introduction of the mysterious girl complicates the hidden causality and makes us feel that the incident was fateful and inevitable. This is a folkloric horror game that fully incorporates the essence of beloved Japanese horror.
