Reversing the Lies of the Sharing Economy

It occuered to me while reading this article that there’s such similarity between Uber and Amway. Maybe Amway is the one that pioneered the business model of calling one’s workers “self-employed” (“direct distributors”). Even before the internet era, the platform concept had been so successfully utilized by Amway that their direct distributors were led to believe, gratefully, that the company helped them to become the “boss” of their own “career” when they were really just outrageously cheap labor.
