1) Rinse your mouth with water after every meal

Rinse your mouth with water after every meal. This will help keep bacteria from building up in your mouth. For extra protection, use a toothpaste that contains fluoride or an antibacterial mouthwash.

Flossing helps remove food particles that have been left in between teeth. If you can’t do this before every meal, try doing it after meals when you can.

2) Brush your teeth at least twice a day

Brushing your teeth is one of the best ways to freshen your breath and avoid mouth odor. Brush your teeth at least twice a day with a toothbrush that is soft or medium bristles, fluoride toothpaste, and an antiseptic mouthwash (if desired). Make sure you brush on the inside as well as outside surfaces of your teeth. Flossing is also an important step in maintaining healthy gums and reducing bad breath.

3) Floss daily

Brush your teeth twice a day with a toothpaste that contains fluoride. Floss at least once per day. Rinse the mouth after eating or drinking anything besides water. Brush your tongue before brushing your teeth. Drink plenty of water, milk, or other fluids throughout the day. Chew sugarless gum after eating anything that may produce mouth odor such as garlic or onions. Suck on sugarless hard candy while you are working in order to keep saliva flowing in your mouth and help wash away food particles.

1. Scrape your tongue before brushing your teeth. 2. Rinse with mouthwash after brushing your teeth, drink water, and eat food. 3. Brush your tongue twice a day for two minutes each time to remove bacteria that can cause bad breath. 4.

5) Use an antibacterial mouthwash

One of the best ways to avoid mouth odor is by using an antibacterial mouthwash. Look for products that contain chlorhexidine, which kills off the germs that cause bad breath.

One of the easiest ways to freshen your breath is by drinking lots of water. The more you drink, the better your mouth will feel. Drinking water not only helps keep your mouth moist but also washes away bacteria that can cause bad breath.

7) Avoid sugary foods

Sugar is a culprit in causing bad breath. Sugary foods can cause bacteria on your tongue or in your mouth to produce more acid, which can lead to increased levels of sulfur-containing compounds that give you bad breath. Drink plenty of water throughout the day and brush your teeth after eating sugary foods to help get rid of the bacteria that causes bad breath.

8) Chew sugarless gum

Chew sugarless gum when you need your mouth freshened. This will help prevent bacteria from growing in your mouth, which can lead to bad breath.

9) Eat crunchy fruits and vegetables

Eat crunchy fruits and vegetables like apples, celery, carrots, cucumbers, peppers, broccoli, beans. Crunching on these items will make you salivate more than usual which in turn will help keep your mouth fresh. Sucking on hard candies can also help if the smell is coming from the back of your throat or you have a dry mouth. It’s also important to drink plenty of water throughout the day so that your mouth doesn’t become too dry.

10) Practice good dental hygiene

Maintaining good dental hygiene can help you avoid mouth odor. Brush your teeth twice a day with a toothpaste that contains fluoride, use an interdental brush, floss at least once a day and make sure you visit your dentist on a regular basis.
