Only God & the shoes knows !

Do you remember that song of ‘Uliza Kiatu? What the shoes of an entrepreneur goes through in a single day, only God & the shoes knows. We walk from office to office looking for deals, we face rejection, we face hostility, sometimes we are welcomed, but we keep pushing on… No giving up.
So yesterday I walk into an office that I was to meet a client. I was from another dusty site so my shoes were looking kidogo dusty and I was equally tired. So the secretary looks at me from shoe to head and says that her boss had just walked out. I smiled because I had just spoken with her boss right before I parked. You see, sometimes I believe secretaries, PAs and watchmen are the main dream killers to many people. Most of them are easy to judge and very choosy on who they will allow in.
Anyway, the moral of the story is this; … Don’t be judgmental. As entrepreneurs, we look good in many occasions but when it comes to money and making deals, we know where there is dirt, there is a good harvest. Our shoes a times may step in your office covered by dust, we may look a times off but don’t mistake us; we very well know what we want and what we are chasing. We are entrepreneurs after all; not socialites!
