This makes me so sad. I love the game so much. I feel like it’s brought me and my teen daughter closer together because we have something to talk about that doesn’t involve money or too much makeup. I do feel “shady” when we are creeping through a neighborhood, stopping right outside someone’s house at 10pm to catch yet another Pidgey for 43 CP. While I feel shady and a little worried…I also feel white. Like I can get away with it.

A white guy in a minivan followed us through a neighborhood when we were creeping around yesterday. He actually blocked us in a cul-de-sac and rolled down his window. I thought…uh oh, here we go. He wanted to know if we were lost because there’s an event center near there that people often can’t find. That was all. He wish us well and we went on our way. I can just imagine a different outcome if I fit a different profile.
