I should have gotten to know the company and its leadership better before associating myself with them and lending them my credibility. Lesson learned.

I’m not sure why you had to wait until you were formally, publicly associated with scam artists to actually do some homework before allowing someone to list you as an advisor and to take shares from them (even if on paper.)
