I watched the documentary with an open mind and was disappointed. They essentially picked a few will performing vegan athletes and tried claim their performance was due their diet, rather than in spite of it. The reality is that the majority of the worlds top athletes are meat eaters, and vegans don’t universally live longer. Arnold Schwarzenegger might feel well reducing his meat consumption, but that’s now; not when he was competing for Mr Universe!

The biggest risk for people going vegan is that they end up eating a poor diet which is worse than a diet which includes meat.

The documentary misses the fact that most of the problems with meat come from processing and cooking.

They claim that early humans were primarily vegan, but that’s debatable. Before farming none of the foods that vegans eat today existed; no grains, seeds and fruit were also seasonal.

They also failed to mention causer of obesity; the biggest health problem in the developed world, isn’t caused by meat but plant based foods!
