Very difficult to put together a trade that both gets Cleveland a point guard and doesn’t seriously shortchange one of the other teams in the deal.
Even more so if Cleveland wants a ridiculously high return for Irving, but maybe that’s part of the plan. Demand more than any team could possibly be willing to give up, and then tell Kyrie, “Sorry, man, we tried to trade you, but it didn’t work out.”
