I'm unfamiliar with Kierkegaard.

Offhand, knowingly being eaten by a wolf, for noble purposes one seeks, might be a fine thing to do.

But there is a huge ethical difference between deciding that one must allow oneself to be eaten by a wolf and instructing others to get themselves eaten. It strikes me as the difference between Gandhi and Stalin.

I've noticed American and European children are enthusiasts at instructing others to sacrifice, even prior to seeking to understand a situation in depth, and I confess I find no nobility in that whatsoever.
