Day 7: The List

One of the best feelings in the world has got to be writing a list and crossing things off of it. I’ve always been a big believer in lists but even more so when I got to college. I enjoy them so much sometimes I just list out all that I’ve got going on the next day. However, that’s just sometimes necessary as my days get planned out to the minute here at Hanover.

It’s a good way to stay organized but sometimes I wish the only thing on my to-do list would be to relax and enjoy the day. Although my lists do look like that sometimes, usually on the weekends until night and then it’s crunch time (like most Sunday nights).

It’s so interesting to think about how my day could be so vastly different from someone else’s millions of miles away from me. Sunday nights could be the night when some other 21 year old sits in the living room with her family and watches TV and sleeps at an early hour. Or it could be the beginning of the third shift for someone else. I’m just sitting in my room making lists and planning out all the stuff I need to get done this week. *sigh* One little baby step at a time.
