Day 72: A New World Within Pages

It was a lovely Saturday, I don’t much of anything and it was lovely. I slept in, relaxed around the house, and ate lunch. After lunch I watched a movie with my little sister and worked in the garden with my grandma. After I dinner I settled down in my room to read.

Reading might be one of my most favorite things to do. If it’s a good book, it can really transport me into the story, into a whole different world. I love it, feeling the emotions of the characters in the book feeling like I’m living it with them. This book was a particularly moving one, so of course I was bawling by the end of it.

I’ll admit it usually doesn’t take much for books to make me cry, but it still amazes me that I can be so affected and touched by words on a page. I hope to write a book one day, and I hope I can my readers be moved in the same way many books have done for me.

I stayed up all night to finish reading the book of course, so today my fingers are itching for pages to flip and my eyes are hungry to take my head and heart into a new world, with a new adventure.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
