Most people dress the way they do because of the weather that occurs in their city, and San Francisco is known for very cold temperatures all year round. The 2017 fashion street wear trend in San Francisco could not better express how local people dress to keep warm from the cold. From layering shirts to scarves and hats, the people of San Francisco are bringing an edgy touch by wearing warm colored clothing mixed in with their warm outfit in the city.

What is often seen worn around for this year of 2017 are long trench coats worn by both men and women. Furry or not, these trench coats are often to be seen in the Earth tone colors black, beige, white and brown. They are usually worn with a light colored shirt and dark colored pants

The 2017 style that men in San Francisco usually wear are dark colored jeans such as black or blue that are rolled up neatly at the bottom. They also wear a casual buttoned up shirt that is a light color such as white or gray. This is paired up with a trench coat or a dark colored buttoned up jacket that is usually unbuttoned. In most cases, each outfit is worn with the name brand of Vans or Nike shoes. Accessories would include a full rimmed hat and a light weight scarf.

Women however are wearing earth toned solid color long sleeve shirts. This material is usually light weight and is worn with dark colored tight skinny jeans. Jackets that are worn are like a military jacket style, usually in the earth toned color palette as well. Big cotton scarves are also seen a lot by women but in a bright color. Leather heeled boots that rise to the ankle as well as knee high boots are commonly seen by the women in San Francisco. Small shoulder bags that hang down below the waist and sunglasses are also in style for the 2017 trend.

The 2017 street style trend in San Francisco is seen to be warm and thought out. With most of these fabrics worn being a light weight material, it allows movement through out the body. The upper body part gives a loose feeling by leaving the jackets and trench coats unbuttoned. The clothes worn on the lower part of the body are very tight and very dark colored. Colors that are associated with the 2017 trend are earth toned colors such as beige, black, blue, brown, green and white and also the color of a faded yellow-orange is seen throughout the streets of San Francisco as well.
