Emotional intelligence is a great read for those in leadership position. It contributes to the literature on general topic of leadership and management. The view that “ the key to effective leadership is the ability to integrate your head (IQ) with your heart (EQ)” summarizes the narrative advanced in this article. However, I think you needed to offer a simple definition of the key word ‘emotion’ in order for it to be understood and contextualized within every day experiences of a leader. How about using the term Emotional Quotient (EQ) for the heart somewhere in the article just like there is Intelligent Quotient (IQ) for the head?!
