User manual for the concert-concierge app
As of June 2016, this app is available only for apple iOS devices. It is in version 0.1. It needs a good bit of work before we get to version 1.0. Please help me test and give feedback.
The app has 4 tabs at the bottom: Favorites, What’s on, Search and Lessons.
For the very first time you launch the app, all the screens will be empty tables. There’s plenty of data in the database. Take the following first step before the app starts showing you any information.
Click on the What’s On tab, and press the “+” sign located the top right corner. Give it a couple of seconds. A list of cities will appear, for which we have concert listings.

Click Edit, and choose the city (or cities) of your interest.

Click Done, and now the “What’s On” tab will show a list of concerts in the city (or cities) you’re interested in. The app will remember the city (or cities) you chose. The next time you visit this list of cities, you’ll see a check mark next to the city (or cities) you have chosen before. You can use the same procedure above to delete interest in any city.
In the “What’s On” tab, click on any concert to see its details. There will be a URL to find more info and a concert venue, clicking which opens up its map.

You can dismiss the concert info by clicking the “X” button. You don’t have to close it. You can leave it open, and switch to any other tab at any time and continue to use the rest of the features of the app.
You can save a concert by clicking “Save”. This will save the concert into your mobile device. All the saved concerts will appear under the “Favorites” tab. If you already have saved a concert, the option “Save” will be grayed out, so that you can’t save it again.

The “Search” tab allows one to search by city. You already know where to find the list of cities. Only need the city name to search. For example, type “Mumbai” in the search box, not “IN — MH — Mumbai”. Search is case insensitive, and if the city name has two words, like “New York”, space between two words is allowed.
The “Lessons” tab is still under development. Presently there’s only one lesson that you can play. This lesson is already on your device, so if you click it, it’ll be played without needing any network data.
