A very entertaining read, thank you. I disagree with a few points:

- you dont need to buy any new hardware, unless you lose the $9 adapter..but if its attached why would you?
- your buying new hardware which is likely non-Apple can’t make Apple greedy.
- most people wont need any new hardware. headphones in box, or BT.
