The Apple

Poetry

A red apple in a female hand.

There was

As much gore

And plunder

Enmity

And one and sundry

Other crimes

Against human dignity

In olden times

As there are now.

Why?

Dunno.

Oh yes,

Man is man

is man

I suppose

Ever since the world began.

Or was it since Eve gave

That darn apple

To Adam?
