Capturing attention on social media
Capturing attention on social media is imperative in today’s society. There are multiple ways to do this one being Automaticity. Automaticity is what gets are attention immediately and helps draw us to a certain product or color (Desreumaux, 2016). This is a very effective way to grab a group or readers attention. It is not enough to just grab their attention you have to keep it. In order to keep that attention, you need to frame whatever product or group you are trying to reach (Desreumaux, 2016). This could be providing options to a solution or changing a customer’s mind regarding the product. If you are framing your product in a way that helps a person or people take care of a need in their life than that will keep their attention for a longer period and ultimately aid in a purchase for the company. The other way is reputation of a product or company. This does not happen overnight but is integral in today’s society where so much is reliant on electronic word of mouth.
Maintaining attention in social media.
There are multiple ways to keep engagement on social media. The first would be understand your customer base and how they talk about your company. “The more abbreviations and misspellings you come up with the more you search and found out what people are saying about your company” (Templeman, 20178). This is imperative in understanding your customers and responding to customers concerns and positive comments. The second way is to use influencers that have a lot of followers to use this as a point to build reputation and keep people talking about your company. Influencers are people that have a lot of followers and influence in the world to maximize the reach of your company. (EvaLahuerta-Otero & workspace.RebecaCordero-Gutiérrez, 2016). With today’s use of social media and instant access to reviews it is imperative that you utilize all the platforms and resources available to you.
