MLG Capital Announces Partnership with the Canadian Technology Accelerator
MLG Capital, the capital markets advisory division of MLG Blockchain, and the Canadian Technology Accelerator, in collaboration with the Canadian Consulate General in New York, have announced a partnership to collaborate on U.S. roadshows to provide Canadian companies with broader access to American investor networks starting with a private Blockchain Roundtable for strategic capital groups in New York City. The partnership between the two organizations brings together complementary networks to offer disruptive Canadian companies greater resources to launch and expand within the U.S market.
MLG Capital is associated with GB Capital Markets, a FINRA-registered broker dealer, to provide private placement and M&A advisory services. With headquarters in New York City and Toronto, MLG Capital focuses on bridging the global gap between blockchain companies and North American capital markets. The Canadian Technology Accelerator, a subsidiary of Global Affairs Canada, acts as an enterprise accelerator that supports high potential Canadian technology companies expand internationally. To date, the Canadian Technology Accelerator has helped 609 companies raise a total of $514 Million, with 999 partnerships secured across 124 offices internationally.
“We are proud to be working with the federal government of Canada to help drive the growth of the blockchain technology industry in Canada. This is a necessary step in building bridges and establishing a truly global industry.” said Kerem Kolcuoglu, Directory of Strategy & Transformation of MLG Capital.
“Canada has great technologies and great companies, in order to scale up and become the next unicorn they need to do it internationally. New York is the financial capital of the world with more private money than in the rest of the US and Canada combined. US investors are increasingly looking at Canadian companies as serious investments. Not only are they fantastic organizations but the economics of investing in Canada makes them even more attractive. We are finally getting to a point where legacy institutions are beginning to embrace blockchain. Canadian companies are leading the charge in educating and partnering with these companies.”, said Joshua Kleyman the Trade Commissioner & Manager of the Canadian Technology Accelerator at the Canadian Consulate in New York City.
