Email marketing compliments your business online and off and enables you to reach people lightning quick. Well-managed companies have email marketing and their email content management down to a science to produce revenue and still the best ROI at scale of any marketing technique.

If you really do deep dives into well-run e-commerce companies, you’ll find that the best still believe in owning the inbox due to the return on invested capital and thus the best way to drive traffic and revenue through conversions on their sites. Take Facebook or Twitter, for instance. They have long discovered the best way to find a customer and lead them back to their websites is through the inbox. Any time you are mentioned or tagged in a photo on either platform you get a message sent directly to your inbox. Who doesn’t want to see their photo or what someone said about them? So what does Joe Businessman or Joe Plumber do when he receives an email stating he has been tagged in a photo or that @thecbtl_edge has mentioned him? He drops everything he is currently doing and clicks on the link in that email to find out what has become public domain. He cannot stand not too. No one can. People have to know immediately. Addiction is a bitch.
