Work Series #1

There’s a comforting banality in new suburban office parks. The tones and decor are immediately recognizable as corporate: mid century modern with a bit of American twist on Milan 2000. The visual cues are known: this is where you conduct short discreet conversations; this is the empty space between work spaces; this is where you meet colleagues while you eat.

We accept the space for what it is, a created space to facilitate white collar people meeting, working and creating … something. No indication of what that something is and that is the beauty of the leased space.

The landscape is as structured as Versailles: enough nature to soothe and enough structure to facilitate whatever we are expected to produce.
