Love this post! While I agree with much said, I do want to mention that whiteboard questions don’t necessarily mean algorithm questions. For example, at Peek, we have a whiteboard question that’s more like a riddle to test your understanding of Javascript; and a core feature of JS, closures. We never ask algorithm questions cause we hardly under-pressure need to come out or remember an algorithm out of a magician’s hat! We just Google it :)
